Frequently asked questions
Why does Letelia need access to my photos?
Access lets Letelia display photos and videos, help compare photos, and delete only files you confirm for deletion. If you grant limited access, the app can see only the items you select. You can change or revoke access in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Letelia.
Does moving a file to the trash delete it immediately?
No. Letelia's in-app trash keeps your selection for review. Your photo library changes only after you confirm deletion.
Can I recover deleted photos and videos?
Deleted items usually remain in the system's Recently Deleted album for 30 days, unless you permanently delete them sooner. With iCloud Photos enabled, deletions sync across devices. See Apple's guide for details.
Why does a photo take time to load?
If the original is stored only in iCloud, the Photos app may need to download it. Check your internet connection and try opening the photo in Photos first. An unavailable original is not confirmed as an exact duplicate.
How should I use analysis suggestions?
As a starting point for your own review. Similar photos may capture different moments, and a blurry or dark photo may still be valuable. Analysis covers photos only; videos are not analyzed. Available features may vary by device and iOS version.
Are my photos sent to a server?
Photo analysis runs on your device. Letelia does not upload photos or videos to its own servers. Apple's services are used to download items from iCloud. See the privacy policy for details.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Letelia is free, with no subscription, in-app purchases, or mandatory registration.
